PSI SideView™ Imaging Microplate

Imaging System Requirements

The SideView™ microplate complies with the SBS/ANSI 96-well microplate standards and should therefore be compatible with standard plate-handling robotics and imaging systems. The microplate is manufactured from a cyclic olefin copolymer that provides excellent optical characteristics and chemical resistance. The plates have excellent transmittance at wavelengths ranging from 340 nm to the near infrared. Detailed specifications are provided in the table, below.

Spacer rings were purchased from Bioptechs (www.bioptechs.com)

SideView™ Microplates are compatible with standard inverted microscopes using long working distance (>/= 12 mm) objectives.

Examples of objectives with sufficiently long working distance:

M25 and RMS spacer rings are available from multiple sources including Bioptechs

M27 objective extension rings are available from Zeiss.

Adapters for mounting M25 objectives on RMS microscope turrets and RMS objectives on M25 turrets are available from Thor Labs
